Spotlight On Jason Champion

Jason Champion’s anticipated solo CD REFLECTIONS releases TODAY on Brooks Entertainment Group and EMI Gospel.

REFLECTIONS introduces Champion to the Gospel world as he presents groove-filled sentiments of life, love, praise and inspiration. Honest in his music and in his life, Champion will share a painful yet common story with EBONY Magazine. Severely overweight Champion was selected by EBONY Magazine and Dr. Ian Smith to participate in the 50 Million Pound Challenge, Champion will be followed by the magazine for the next several months as he sets on a journey to lose weight. Dr. Ian met with Champion at this home and created a customized exercise and diet plan to support Champion’s efforts. All of it captured for a special feature in EBONY that will first appear in the July Issue hitting newsstands June 9th.

The inspirational project adeptly brings together Champion’s musical worlds. Formerly part of 90′s R&B sensation, Men At Large and discovered by the late great Gerald Levert, Champion has gone on to solely use his talents for the Lord. Most recently, Champion was a featured background vocalist with Kirk Franklin on his last tour and two albums.

A nice blend of pure R&B Vocals with a strong Gospel message, REFLECTIONS is a total victory for Champion. Leading the way is the growing hit single, “Always” a fun, upbeat summer smash. Champion’s powerful vocals with hit-maker Warryn Campbell’s production, is a one-two punch and is a literal feel good song. Another standout is the title cut “Reflections” an anthem of encouragement that speaks to the very core of Champion’s music and artistry.
