BET’s 106 & Gospel, an extension of the network’s popular 106 & Park countdown, is one step closer to hitting the airwaves next year with the recent unveiling of its hosts.

Jor’el Quinn, of the Gospel group 21:03, has been named as a co-host for the inaugural season.

Quinn, the lead singer of the popular group 21:03, will host the all new 90-minute weekly music event that in addition to incredible performances, will feature a top 20 countdown of contemporary gospel videos, news segments, church fashion and roof raising choir battles.

While a premiere date has not been set, BET is expected to launch the show early next year.

Look at God! I have been waiting for a moment such as this where the people will have an opportunity to be exposed to the gospel. Not just the music and the sunday clothes but the power, the spirit of the Lord… Faith comes by ‘hearing’ and hearing the word of God! If any man can hear let him hear and see the good works God will produce from a outlet such as this. I thank God in advance. I wish I could be a part of something so profound. God is awesome! REJOICE and again I say REJOICE!!!

By the way… I am located in ATLANTA. I am a 26 yr young entrepreneur. The Lord is MY Shepherd! I refuse to be defeated… The website listed is my service business born in 2007 servicing all of metro atlanta. Check out my website, and tell a friend! I am also constructing a networking group I would like to call Divine Connections. If you share a similar spirit and would like to share some ideas, don’t hesitate to email me! With God all things are possible. Be blessed.

    I agree!

It is soooooooo nice to see Gospel hit the mainstream media! As a mother of 16-year-old son, I know too wel that kids need more wholesome and uplifting music that what they are used to hearing on stations like BET most of the time.

    Praise God!

To the True Believer of Jesus Christ of the Holy Bible, this is TOTALLY the devil. Christians once again merging with the world. This has already been forbidden by God. This is such foolishness. The devil doesn’t care if the world gets churchy just as long as they don’t get saved. I’m sick of “we need to reach the young people by any means necessary” mess. Everybody needs to be redeemed from sin, not just young people. Youth of the world, don’t let anyone deceive of pimp you. The people that set this union up are NOT of God and they could care less about your soul salvation. This is a trick of the enemy. Wake up Body of Christ. We are in the last hour before Christ’s Glorious Return.
