Radio One and IHM presents I Hear Music in The Air Conference , Concert , Teen Summit and Gala to be held June 27-29 , 2008 in Cincinnati.
It will feature performances and appearances by Kirk Franklin , Marvin Sapp , LeAnne Palmore , Dorinda Clark-Cole , Vicki Winans , Byron Cage and more!
On Friday June 27 the concert is held featuring the performances of Kirk Franklin , Marvin Sapp , Dorinda Clark-Cole , and Vicki Winans at The Aronoff Center (www.cincinnatiarts.org ). On Saturday June 28th it’s the I Hear Music in the Air Conference , New Artist Showcase and Teen Summit to be held at the Word Family Life Center and on Sunday, June 29th it’s the I Hear Music Gala at The Sheraton main Ballroom.

On October 26th, Beverly Crawford, Mary Mary, Fred Hammond and Hezekiah Walker kick off the series in Charleston. The Mighty Clouds of Joy, Byron Cage and Vanessa Bell Armstrong will raise the roof in Greenwood on October 27th, followed by Mary Mary, Donnie McClurkin, Deitrick Haddon and the Mighty Clouds of Joy in Columbia on October 28th.

American Idol’s Melinda Doolittle to tour with Michael W. Smith

Former “American Idol” contender Melinda Doolittle will be hitting the road this winter with Michael W. Smith and The Katinas for the “It’s A Wonderful Christmas” tour.
Doolittle, who finished as the third place finalist on the sixth season of “American Idol,” has worked as a professional back-up singer for Kirk Franklin, Aaron Nevillle, Bebe and CeCe Winans, and Anointed, among others. Although she was eliminated from this year’s annual singing competition after making into the Top 3, she had been referred to as one of the greatest singers in the history of the show by the judges as well as “Idol” host Ryan Seacrest.
The ”It’s A Wonderful Christmas” tour, which kicks off Nov. 29 and wraps up Dec. 22, will feature songs from Smith’s third Christmas release and twentieth album, It’s A Wonderful Christmas.
