The new program is hosted by Cory “CoCo Brother” Condrey, who was the host of a nationally syndicated weekend radio show

The weeknight radio show will be based in Atlanta, broadcasting on WPZE Praise 102.5 FM, and will also debut on many of Radio One’s inspirational stations in the following markets: Houston, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Baltimore, Cleveland, Charlotte, Indianapolis, Raleigh, Columbus, Cincinnati, and Richmond.

“CoCo Brother is a lightning rod on the radio who can electrify, inspire, and entertain like only a chosen few,” says Gary Bernstein, President of Programming at Syndication One. “We are confident that he will do the same at inspirational stations all across the country.”

Guests for the debut broadcast of CoCo Brother Live on Friday, April 10th were Byron Cage, Bishop Eddie Long, Dottie Peoples, J Moss, and Israel Houghton.

“It has always been my mission to save souls and be that bridge to bring the whole family together,” says CoCo Brother. “I am grateful to Radio One and Syndication One for giving me the opportunity to touch millions of lives everyday. The radio show will encourage people to keep standing, but more importantly save souls!”

Some of the special segments on CoCo Brother Live will include The Battle, which will showcase two chart topping songs where listeners will vote for their favorite; The Exodus Mix, a fifteen minute inspirational segment that will include hits from top-named Gospel artists; Stand and Take Authority, a part of the broadcast that takes an encouraging word from either an artist or inspirational leader; and I- Pray, the part of the broadcast that will give listeners the opportunity to call in and pray for each other.

“CoCo Brother Live” is a natural extension of his successful weekend program which airs in many major markets including Los Angeles, Dallas, Houston, Detroit with more markets to be announced soon.

It has indeed been a time of test and trials. It seems that every time you turn around there is either a plane falling from the sky- into somebody’s house, a shooter on the rampage, or a child gone missing. That is why it is so important for us to remember the Great Sacrifice that was made for us. You see, we get to lean and depend on HIM. No questions asked, just come. Just the other day, we were having a blast with the Bible Quiz. The phones were jumping off the hook and everyone seemed to be having a great time. I was so excited. We were getting winners from new callers that had never called before. They were laughing and all excited about the prospect of having the correct Passage, and explaining their point of view. It was Great. It was so great in fact that I had to quickly run to my car and retrieve more gifts, because everyone was winning. I popped the truck and reached into the box and grabbed some things. Then I remembered the Senior Citizen that called. She was so funny and full of knowledge. I just had to give her something extra. Since my hands were full, I laid the keys down and reached way back into the far front of the trunk. Then, just as soon as I let the trunk down and heard that oh so famous click, I immediately realized that the key was still in there. “Oh No”. I can’t believe that I did that. You know that feeling that you get when you walk outside your door and just as soon as you pull the door to, and hear that “click” you know then that you have no keys. “Man” I can’t believe that I did that”. Well, Mr. Porter from next door tried everything that he could to open the door so that I could pop the trunk, but to no avail. I called my sister to go to my House and pick up the spare remote and then remembered that it was in the glove compartment of my car…”Rats”, I can’t believe that I did that”. Mr. Porter suggested that I call the Ford place which was just right down the street a bit. “They should have a Master key”. So, inside I run to call them up. After explaining my dilemma, and being switched around to probably everyone in the building, I finally got a gentleman who thought that he could help. “You must have you car registration, automobile insurance information, and identification, and it should take about 5 minutes. OK, now my registration is in the car, which is locked. I had a duplicate insurance card in my wallet along with my driver’s license. Mr. Porter and I head off to the Ford place, and sure enough they wanted everything that they asked for. The driver’s license was to identify how I was, because they couldn’t just make a key for anybody to possibly someone Else’s car. The automobile insurance card to verify that the car was insured, and it also contained the VIN number so that they could verify that the car had not been stolen. One by one, the fax machine received each document: two from DMV, and another from the insurance company. This is the longest 5 minutes in the history of the world. I bought the car here, it has been serviced here, what is the problem? I thought about that for a minute. They had to verify who I was, and if the car was insured, and if the car was in fact registered to me. You see, they would be liable if anything had happened and I was not who I said I was, with an uninsured vehicle, and a Vehicle not belonging to me. I thought, if someone had come in to get a key made to open my car door, I certainly would want the Ford place to make sure that it was me……….Then with a sigh of rerelief thought ” I am so glad that Our Lord And Savior takes us just like we are. It doesn’t matter to whom we used to belong , whether or not we are registered, or even if we are insured. He simply takes us as we are….Thank You Lord.

Even when we give up on ourselves, God doesn’t give up on us. I can hardly wait to speak with him.

We had some of our special friends to join us on Good Friday to share some in sight on that Historically Significant Event: Dr. Ralph Coleman had us all turning pages with Scripture Passages that were easy to remember, and informative enough that we all wrote them down. My brother, Recording Artist La Dell Cole was with us once again. Now his down to earth synopsis had us taking a closer look into some of the events surrounding the actual Crucifixion. Do you know how many stripes that Jesus actually received? We are still having a good time with that one. Then the legendary Lee Williams gave us the most complete and essential summary that just took the cake..”.Without Easter, there would be no me”…and you could tell, he meant it from the bottom of his heart. Then, Bishop Neal Roberson joined us the day before, and when I tell you he had a Testimony- Wow, did he have a testimony. Bishop has started his own new Record Label and the release of the single from the upcoming CD,” Lord I Thank You”, shares some of it with you. We had a great time speaking with him…and then he Prayed, My-My-My.

4-14-09: The Intriguing Paul Porter will be visiting with us. He sings with such Passion, you can almost feel him overflowing. He visited with us a while back, and I can’t wait to see what’s new with him.

But, now Bishop Simon is in Full Time Ministry, and has been for a while now. He has been touring all over the country Ministering in Crusades to packed houses in just about every corner of the world that you can think of. It seems now that there are some issues involving some of his previous music. Should be very interesting conversation. Hello to everyone.  I Pray that you have all at some point, had an opportunity to really read and receive a clear understanding of our celebration of Palm Sunday, Holy Week, and Easter Sunday.  Remember when we were younger how we had to learn our “Easter Parts” and actually stand before the whole Congregation and recite it, without the paper?  OK, if that’s a little before your time, or part of the world, then try this….Find a Passage of Scripture in either the Old Testament or New, related to either the Crucifixion  and or Resurrection of Christ and learn it–not just memorize it, learn it, and I’ll explain that part next.  Now as you recite the Passage to yourself, think about what it is that you are actually saying and apply it directly to yourself and to whomever you will be reciting it to.  I mentioned to” learn” it, in addition to memorizing it.  That’s for those that will say, I don’t understand what you mean by that.. There is your second opportunity to spread the Good News.  Of course, it is a very painful and sorrowful event to recapture with words.  But just think of the Marvelous Benefits that we as believers and doers of the Word receive.  When you are ready to recite your “Easter Part”, you will be able to say it with assurance-Blessed Assurance of that Victorious Event.  You will find that it is actually fun, and you will find yourself laughing as you practice and prepare.  But once you have learned it, you won’t very easily forget.  So be sure to recite your “Easter Part” as often as you can.  We do celebrate this event EVERYDAY, even if it’s not marked on the calender.  That’s where your memorization comes in………

We are having a wonderful time at KOUSLIVE.Com. Our guest have literally been surprising themselves. The incredible Cynthia Jones returned and of course, we had a blast as usual. I was so excited about Apostle Donald Alford’s visit. I got to rag him about his appearance on Praise The Lord when Minister Juanita Bynum hosted. He couldn’t believe that I remembered that so precisely–what he had on, what he sang first and what he did next, etc. It was lots of fun. Then, of course, he Prayed until we just couldn’t take it anymore. It was a Prayer for everyone. Our listeners flooded the lines with calls after his visit just to let us know that they love him too. Now the surprise was my new friend Tonya Baker. She had a Testimony that was very moving. We spoke about her upbringing in a Musical family and how they all always sang. She also gave us a short rendition of her very first solo. It was Great. And man can she Pray. We have such a grand time with our visits and Powerful Prayers beyond anything that you can imagine. Hello to everyone.  I Pray that you are Standing Steadfast On The Promises Of God.  No Matter What Comes Your Way, Remember There Is No Failure=Nothing Is Impossible.  I am reminded of one of the songs from the Movie “Cinderella”..Impossible, for a plain yellow pumpkin to become a Golden Carriage, Impossible? Things are happening everyday”. The song was sang with such assurance.  Kind of like our Faith..Believing, Trusting, Knowing, Expecting, and then Receiving…Whenever you need a little convincing, try thinking that song, while Meditating on Luke 1:37, Mark 10:27, and Romans 4:21.  Then you Will be Sure Of What You Hope For, and Certain Of What You Do Not See.  Be Not discouraged, for He Is Able.

It takes you to that place where you really do what to stop right then and Bless His Holy Name.  It is all about Him.

 
Friday-2-27-09:  The amazing vocals of Tonya Baker.  Now she was a big surprise.  Got to watch her on Gospel Of Music, and she was great. As I listened, I thought, oh, we’ll have lots to speak about.  She has a long history for someone so young. And a powerful testimony as well.

I want to take this opportunity to Thank all of you for your Prayers and support, calls and emails.  I am happy to know that you understand how important it is for all of us, as many as possible, join in together.  We have the same focus, the same goal, The Same God.  People, Power, Prayer, Numbers.  It remains that mighty combination that can’t be beat. Hello to everyone.  I Pray that you are moving through this month of March with the Zeal and Expectations that the God that we serve, will in fact come through for you and there is no doubt that He will do exactly what He Said That He Would Do.  If there is any doubt, you can of course refer to That Great Book, The Best Seller…Non Fictitious Of Course.  And “When All Else Fails, Read The Directions”.  Now that sounds encouraging doesn’t it?  But what if you really don’t know Him or anything about”That Book”?  Have you picked it up and tried to read it and found that the terminology became a bit overwhelming?  Or have you ever been determined to read it and didn’t know where to start?  Well, some say start at the beginning.  I will suggest starting with the Gospels…The very beginning of the New Testament, The Book Of Matthew, and just see what happens. It kind of reminds me of when my kids were young and they would accompany me to the grocery store.  Each of them were given items to retrieve and bring back to the basket.  If it was something that they really liked, they would bring lots of them.  Filling up the basket with that one particular item.  I would say ” OK, that’s enough of that one, go on to the next item you were sent to get”.  You see, once you start to read, you will be filled. You will find that you keep filling up the basket with more and more and more.  Because as you begin to read The Good News, you will want more and more and more.  Your interest will be surprising to you, just as I was surprised to turn around and look at all of the many like items in the basket.  But, the ironic thing is, is that you may never get enough.  Even though it is something that you set out to look for, and eventually found, you will continue to fill your basket with some of the most inspirational words that you may have every read. Don’t check out before you complete the list (the whole Book).  I wouldn’t want you to miss out on any of the Wonderful Promises of The Lord.

Each and everyday there are New Revelations, New Relationships, and of course Mighty Moves Of God.  Words cannot explain the Miraculous events that have taken place at KOUS.  You just simply have to join us.  Monday-Friday 10:00 A.M.-2:00 P.M. CST.  Remember when we spoke with Minister Jerry Dunbar of The Lighthouse Singers?  He called just the other day with still more Praise Reports.  And The Wardlaw Brothers seemed to have touched the hearts of Seniors as well as Young Adults.  With the combination of Hymns and their Sweet Harmonic Sound with all of their music, they have placed themselves in the middle of the bridge.  I am so happy for them. And they actually sang something for me…A Capella…On the spot.  See, told you, those guys can really sing.

The Worshiper, Minister Stephen Hurd will be with us once again.   He is such a moving and inspirational Worship leader. I was so happy to  know that we would get a chance to visit with him again.  He has a new project..”That Was Then, This Is Now”, with his church The First Baptist Church Of Glenarden in Landover, MD.   I am  excited to speak with him about it, and get his views and  expectations for the project.  In speaking with him before, I can tell you that he is in fact a true Worshiper.

On Thursday 3-19-09:    Minister Joe Leavell & St. Stephens Mass Choir.  I listened to the Title Cut “God Is Able” and just fell in love with the harmony at the bridge.  Wow.  Then, he surprised me with a call.  We couldn’t stop talking.  Such an Anointing, a very pleasant and real person. I can’t wait to share him with you all.

On Friday 3-20-09:      The up and coming “Brown Sisters”.  They were a surprise to me.  A gift from my friend Mitz.  They will be coming to town to help celebrate Pastor- Profit, Sam Smith and Born’s Anniversary.
 So many area groups will be Ministering in Music for the two day celebration.Now when I say “Area”, that just mean they live around here. But all of them are Recording and hitting the charts.

Hello to everyone. I really Pray that all is well. There are so many things going on in this world today. It is a bit overwhelming when we without Faith, consider the state of the economy, the many changes in heads of administration, the constant bickering of some over things that they have no control over, community disarray, hunger, unemployment, the hop skip of the stock market, spousal and child abuse, and the list could go on. But the key words are “Without Faith”. Hebrews 11:1 has the perfect explanation. OK, I could give it to you here, but look how much fun you’ll have just looking it up and searching it out. I will give you something else to think about after you have read the Passage for yourself…FAITH MAKES US SURE OF WHAT WE HOPE FOR, AND IT GIVES US PROOF OF WHAT WE CANNOT SEE..(contemporary version)…FAITH IS BEING SURE OF WHAT YOU HOPE FOR AND CERTAIN OF WHAT YOU DO NOT SEE..(my shower curtain). So every time you turn on the news or get a report or discussion from co-workers and classmates…direct them to Hebrews 11:1 Now that you have looked it up and searched it out, it is now written in your heart. And when they say “I don’t get it”, you’ll have two different ways to help make it plain. Again, since you’ve looked it and searched it out, you’ll find that something/ somebody within giving you just what to say..Do you know Who He Is?

We are having such a wonderful time this week, that I just had to let you know and remind you that we have a blast everyday.

On Monday 3-2009: We got a very big surprise from Pastor Chris Harris of the Bright Star Church Of God In Christ of Chicago. He really surprised me. And thanks for your Prayers, He is feeling much better and so am I. We got to spend quite a bit of time with him. His Testimony absolutely amazed us all. We knew that the Brother could sing. But his personal Testimony just knocked us off our feet and back up again into a wonderful Worship and Praise Session. We love Pastor Chris’ rendition of “Let It BE Me” from the “Healed Without Scars” CD. On Tuesday 3-3-09: Minister Jerry Dunbar of The Lighthouse Singers. We really had a great time. Of course I got to rag him about old pictures with big Afros, big Red Bow Ties, and Red cummerbunds. Some of the members actually started singing in the group as young as 8 years old. It was great. Minister Jerry also shared with us the Further Dedication that the group made at the first of the year. A Word From God in which they were completely Obedient to. Then they got to see Miracles and Wonders like never before. Very Powerful Testimonies of the many things that God is doing with the group. They are a very ENERGETIC GROUP. Two of them in full time Ministry, and a very pleasant group of young men. They have tons of instruments. But trust me, as a musician, I kid you not when I say that they can play each and every one of them. If you have ever seen them Minister In Music, then you know exactly what I mean.

On today, 3-3-09: Evangelist Annie Blount just blew us away with her Powerful Testimony. This is a Woman of God started off by sharing with us the fact that she was sent to the hospital, diagnosed with colon cancer, weighting well, I mean well into the lbs. Coming out of the hospital weighting 55lbs, and a new assignment from God. Well needless to say, she is full of Fire…Very Powerful. Her Noon Day Prayer had the whole Studio glowing. We Had a Great Time.

Well, I Pray that you can join us on 3-5-09 for Famed Author Angela Caligone. I know for a fact that She Has Some Stories To Tell Us. I can barely wait. She is excited, I’m excited, and so are our listeners. You just have to join us.

On Friday 3-6-09: The up and coming Wardlaw Brothers. These guys amaze me. Out of Vidalia, Georgia, they actually are biological brothers–all 5 of them. They are Handsome, Sharp,and I am sure there is a Cowboy in the bunch somewhere. The Harmony is soft and sweet. Very Inspirational they are. And they can really Sing, A Capella too, so you know it’s tight as the young people say.
