Jessica Greene- Stellar Gospel Music’s New Artist Of The Year
March 16, 2009
Baltimore native Jessica Greene will be celebrating her win of the prestigious Stellar Gospel Music Award for “New Artist of the Year” on April 13 at 7:30 PM at The Church of the Redeemed of the Lord (CRL) located 4321 York Rd in Baltimore, MD, where Bishop Jerome Stokes is pastor.
This special celebration concert will feature performances and appearances by Gospel recording artists, media, celebrity VIPs and fans. Cheryl Jackson formerly of Clearchannel’s Heaven 1580 AM (Wash, DC) will emcee the evening.
Winning a Stellar Award was no easy task for a new developing artist and a start-up Gospel record label, Baltimore based Habakkuk Music, Inc., which launched with Jessica Greene as the first artist. Within just a year of the release “4 The World,” Jessica Greene was nominated for two Stellar Awards, Female Vocalist of The Year, sharing the category with legendary Cece Winans, Dorinda Clark Cole, Shirley Caesar and Beverly Crawford; and New Artist of the Year.
About the celebration, Greene says:
“This night is not only recognizing and celebrating a brand new “Stellar Award” winner but is also confirming God’s Plan and Promises for my Life.”
The Stellar Gospel Music Award is Gospel music’s most prestigious award. The Stellar Awards were taped January 17, 2009 in Nashville, TN and aired nationally on January 31, 2009.
